Tauranga, New Zealand

Saturday, April 1 Jack made it to Tauranga Bridge Marina to find the CHRISTIANNE as he left her with only a bit of dust and road fallout on her decks.  First orders of business - gelcoat repair where we chewed our bow with the anchor a few times and small Dodger construction to protect the crew from Red Sea sand storms. While the prop and bottom work and gelcoat repair are being done he will be living up on the hard climbing up and down a ladder each time he enters or exits his home; sort of like living in a tree house. Then she will be lowered into the water and tied up to a dock while all the final preparations are completed. The voyage is scheduled to begin May 6th or 7th exactly one year from the time she transited the Panama Canal.
